Fast Food Delivery Comparison Site Launch
Following the announcement of its classic car price comparison site earlier this month, i-Wonder, the leading provider of niche price comparison website (PCW) solutions to the UK market, announces the adoption of its UK Fast Food Delivery solution by one of the UK’s main PCW providers.
The product was ‘soft launched’ on i-Wonder’s own-brand SME commercial PCW site, the Trade Cloud, earlier in the year, but is now set to trade in volume by the end of November. Customers of i-Wonders Fast Food Delivery PCW will have access to tailor-made, quality protection against common risks. These include accidents, public liability, loss or damage of goods with goods in transit insurance, and money cover.
‘There were 25.4 million users of fast-food delivery services in the UK in 2023, explains Ray Vincent, Chief Executive Officer, i-Wonder. ‘This number is forecast to grow significantly over the next few years. It is difficult to get statistics on the number of drivers, riders, and vehicles involved but it is a large number, and growing. It is reasonable to expect that the need for suitable insurance is growing too.‘
‘At the moment scooter and car riders need to have third-party liability insurance for their vehicle, as well as food delivery insurance, as required by law’ explains Frances Howard, Commercial Director, i-Wonder. ‘The time is right to provide a price comparison site for this community, many of whom are self-employed and need to save money where they can, without compromising on cover’.
‘Regardless of vehicle type, you will need specialist cover if you are making food deliveries. Any ‘risk and reward’ work will invalidate your standard car, bike, or van insurance policy’, continues Howard. ‘Not only is our Fast Food Delivery comparison site the first of its kind in the UK, but it deals with all forms of vehicle that may potentially be used, from motorcycles of all kinds, to cars and vans.’
Early adopter panelists have enjoyed first mover advantage, influencing both the data capture and journey. The Fast Food Delivery insurance sector is expected to grow in sophistication, however, and it is important to provide a responsive service that stays ahead of the curve. i-Wonder tools and components provide for a rolling consensus based approach as the market and panel evolve, whilst still benefitting from low through life change costs and minimal friction.
‘We have found that there are enough suitable quote and buy websites to create a strong panel for this type of insurance,’ continues Howard. ‘Having first notified potential panelists some six months ago, we are currently working with five separate enterprises and are in talks with a further three. Our door is open, and we welcome all enquiries from businesses looking to join our panel.’
